When I heard this story on my local news station, something didn't sit right. Then it really did't sit right. If you haven't read it yet, go to the site and read it--it only takes 1-2 min.
First of all, what a waste to buy candy to hand out to kids costing $5 a pop per 1 lb bag just to have them turn it all over to their dentist who's offering much less for their poundage of candy ($1 a lb).
Yes, I know it goes to charity--but that's just it! The kids who hand over the goods get a healthy snack and a toothbrush along with some cash. Then the tooth-rotting lbs of sugar--which they just got done saying are cavity-causing agents--gets sent to kids who are terminally ill. Why does this make for a good cause???
